The Spanish film production company Buenpaso Films will attend at the AFM (American Film Market) for The Fifth Horseman’s international sales and present his new feature film project (2015): In Purple and Scarlet (thriller).
The Fifth Horseman: A Vision of the First World War by Vicente Blasco Ibáñez (Documentary. Completed). This commemorative documentary, directed by Rosana Pastor (Best New Actress for Ken Loach’s Land and Freedom. Goya Awards 1996) and Enrique Viciano (director and producer of long career), is a co-production with the public television channel RTVE (Radiotelevisión Española), and proposes an approach to the First World War from the perspective of the famous writer Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, author of the best-seller translated into 50 languages The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1916), first story written about the Great War during the conflict and that was a run of two million copies in 1921, and a cinematographic unprecedented success.
In Purple and Scarlet (Thriller. In Pre-production). Directed by Juanra Fernández (Para Elisa, distributed by Jinga Films) raises and approach to another era, almost indefinitely; another lane, in which parallel fantasy mixed with a possible reality.
With certain shades of black cinema, the film is developed on the thin line running between the psychological suspense and paranormal terror.
In Purple and Scarlet therefore the omniscient view of the internal struggle of his characters, with the dramatic trial between victims and executioners represented.
The film features a great Spanish cast of actors and actresses: Eduardo Noriega (La belle et la bête, Sweetwater, The Last Stand, Blackthorn), Fernando Tejero, Ana Wagener and Maria Maroto.
